Campaign Announcement Celebration
The public announcement of the Brilliant Futures Campaign on June 1, 2007 at Chicago’s Navy Pier kicked off the public phase of our Capital Campaign. A short video of the highlights of the evening is now available in our Media & Downloads section.
This is the largest fundraising campaign in this University's history, and one of the largest in the history of higher education.
More than 1,000 University of Illinois alumni and friends from across all three campuses gathered to celebrate the power of philanthropy and hear unforgettable stories from students, fellow alumni and friends about what it means to give someone a chance. The chancellors of all three campuses, and donors and gift recipients were keynote speakers at the event.
Regional Events
Throughout the course of the Campaign, the Foundation’s Department of Special Events will coordinate regular events across the nation. These gatherings will help expand outreach efforts by providing opportunities for alumni and friends to interact and learn more about our fundraising efforts.

These events will give the University of Illinois Foundation an opportunity to communicate our strategic Campaign messages on a campus-by-campus basis.
